The Magic of Maternity

I'm so in love with capturing the magic of female bodies, especially expecting mothers! Glowing while growing a little human is nothing short of miraculous and should be celebrated and documented!

It saddens me when I hear clients not wanting to do maternity session because they feel big and don't feel like they are looking their best. I understand where they are coming from, we all feel that way sometimes. But, think about it, you are carrying and growing a human inside of you! That is a super human level power! Of course you feel big and full. You are full of super magical growing power! You should feel like a million bucks! Because it is going to cost that much to raise a kid. HA! Sorry, had to insert a joke. I hope that made you smile.

To me, maternity portrait is just as important as newborn portrait. Because once the baby is out, you can't put them back. You're not a kangaroo!

Sometimes those photos are not for you, but it's for your kids, their kids, their grandkids, and the rest of the family. My son loves seeing photos of me when carrying him in my belly. It always fascinates him, as it should, because it is magical. He often is more interested in those photos than the photos of him when he was a baby. My maternity photos gets his mind going and his curiosity flowing which usually turns into a bonding moment. Those moments are priceless.

This beautiful mama came to me to book a newborn portrait and didn't want to do maternity portraits at first. After I showed her my maternity portfolio and talked to her about my experience, she agreed to do it! She brought joy and magic into the studio when she came and I captured her glow, her magic, and her beauty. These words might smell like cheese but cheese are delish and they are the truth.

TL;DR: You are amazing! Let me capture your amazingness.
