Hiii! It’s your friendly auntie photographer, Mini Anna Photography!! I wanted to create a sort of guide for what it’s like to get photos done with me. I know that getting the whole family ready for photos can feel like a LOT. Between coordinating outfits, managing nap schedules, and convincing your toddler to smile, it’s easy to put family photos off until next year. But I don’t want you to miss these memories. 

I’ve spent years curating an experience for my clients that is equally playful and seamless for busy parents.

My goal (as a fellow parent AND a photographer), is to help you get in the photos. So when you’re 10 years older than you are now, you don’t look back regretting not capturing your own parenting journey. 

I really do believe that family photos should be fun!

At Mini Anna Photography, my goal is to make the experience feel super relaxed, full of joy, and a little like hanging out with your favorite auntie.

1. First, Let’s Chat About Your Family

It all starts with reaching out! Once you fill out my inquiry form, we’ll connect for a quick phone consultation to talk about your family, what you’d love to capture, and the kind of session you’re envisioning.

Not sure whether a studio session or an outdoor adventure is right for you? Have questions about locations, outfits, or how the kids will do? This is the perfect time to ask! We’ll talk through your options, make sure we’re a good fit, and figure out the best way to bring your vision to life.

My goal is for you to feel comfortable, excited, and confident before we even get started. No pressure or no guesswork. Just a chance to connect and start planning something meaningful for your family.

2. Find Your Perfect Bay Area Backdrop

Fall is one of my favorite times for outdoor family photos around San Francisco and Marin. Think golden light, beautiful coastal views, and little ones exploring leafy trails or sandy beaches.

3. Bring Your Kids Exactly As They Are to Your Session with Mini Anna Photography

Here’s your permission slip to stop worrying about perfect behavior!

With over 20 years of photography experience and 11 years of being a mom, I know that little ones don’t always follow the plan. Shy kids, wiggly toddlers, and silly personalities are all welcomed with open arms!! 

We’ll capture those classic family portraits you’re hoping for, along with the giggles, cuddles, and wonderfully unexpected moments that show who your family really is.

Your job is to enjoy your people. I’ll take care of the rest.

4. Enjoy Your Photos Beyond Your Phone

After your session, I’ll carefully edit your images with my signature style. Your finished gallery typically arrives within 2–3 weeks, ready to download, share, and enjoy. The number of included images depends on your session, with options to purchase additional favorites.

And, if you want something you can see every day?

You can also choose from beautiful printed keepsakes, including albums, framed prints, and wall art. No pressure, just options for turning your favorite memories into something tangible.

5. Let’s Make This a Family Tradition

Whether we’re exploring a Bay Area beach or cuddling up in the studio, I want you to leave with more than pretty pictures. I want you to feel cared for, have fun with your family, and walk away with memories you’ll treasure for all the years to come.

Many of my families will adopt me as their photographer, and we meet up every year (sometimes 2-3x a year!) and take photos of their family’s journey. Becoming the visual storyteller of your memories as parents is the honor of my life! Truly!
